Our Holidays

Hey everybody! We had a great Christmas, how was yours? We went to Glendive to see Jason's parents and siblings, they were all able to make it so that was great!
Miriam has become obsessed with putting things "away". We find the strangest things in the strangest places. It's been pretty funny.
Then last week she learned how to say "baby", now she says it all day long. She calls everything a baby. It's cute.

Miriam has known what no means for a few months now. She used to be pretty timid about it, but the past few weeks she has been testing those limits like CRAZY. All day long we go round and round about the Christmas tree. She touches it, looks at me, I firmly say "Miriam, no, don't touch", She looks at my like "you're not the boss of me", then she reaches right out and touches it again. I call this picture "Defiance". Can't you just see it on her face?

She got this toy from Grama and Papaw, and she LOVES it.

Jason usually has a few geek projects to get done over Christmas

Getting some walking lessons from Aunt Cassie and Aunt Alissa

I love my cousin, Addison

Miriam got lots of cool bath toys for Christmas,
now baths aren't quite as bad as they used to be

She put her baby away

Brrrrrr... it's cold outside

VIDEO: Baby giving an ottoman zerberts

This video was taken on Dec 18th. Make sure you have a hand on the volume knob before you start it, you'll want to turn it up to hear the zerbert sounds. We think this video is just too funny.

Mom, this girl is so pretty!

Mira just can't get enough of that funny girl in the window, she's so pretty, and fun, and she can do all the same tricks as Miriam can.

The high temperature yesterday was -18 degrees and the wind chill got down to -50. We started to feel like that movie, "The Day After Tomorrow" where the villain is the cold, and it's chasing you down, even in-doors. Our front door had a solid layer of ice covering part of it, and the threshold was frozen over. This picture is of the inside of our front door. Miriam likes to eat snow, so I'm afraid she's gonna try to lick the threshold and get stuck there. Yikes.

Miriam still hates baths so much.

"Something To Do"

The weekend before Thanksgiving, we hosted a Youth Outreach called "Something To Do" because we CONSTANTLY hear from teens... "there's nothing to do in Lewistown". So we gave them all "Something To Do". We had free pop and pizza and brought in a coffee shop owner to make $2 lattes. We had human bowling, sumo wrestling, jousting, and video game racing. We gave away some sweet prizes like a Wii and an 80 gig iPod. We also brought in a speaker to give a clear gospel message and several kids gave there lives to the Lord for the first time. We estimate that about 250 kids came! It was a big success! Thank you, Lord!

Mmmmmmm, I want steak, dad!

Wow, it's been almost a month since I've posted. Sorry guys. Well, Miriam and I (Mandy) have been sick for the last week. It hit right after thanksgiving. We both had some virus that gave us both ear infections. Yucky. But we knew Mira was feeling better today when she decided she'd like to have some of Daddy's T-bone steak (as you can see above). We're both starting to feel better.

We were able to go to Billings for thanksgiving to see Jason's brother Brock and his family. They just moved into their brand new house like 4 days before that. It was so great to be able to spend some time with them. Miriam and her cousin Addison are actually getting to the age where they can start to play together. It's so cute! Also, while we were in Billings we got together with Candice, Miriam's birthmom. It had been about 5 months since we'd last seen her, so it was nice to catch up. She gave Miriam a tiger that was about her size, and she LOVES IT Candice!

Mira and Gramma. Just chillin'
