NEW STUFF!!!!

She's doing ALL KINDS of new and exciting things all of a sudden!! They come in rashes and without warning! Just last night she pulled herself up on our ottoman to try and get to my french fries. But as soon as she got up there she let go and fell, and cried. She hasn't held on at all, even when we set her up there. THEN TODAY she held on and was perfectly steady like she'd been doing it forever! She only needed one hand (pic below). Silly girl! She just started feeding herself, she LOVES that! She started saying Mama and Dada. And she's been waving byebye for a couple weeks, but she started saying it too... "bubu". She jabers constantly. Have you seen the movie "Monster's Inc."? She sound so much like Boo. Such a cute stage.

I love my daddy

Youth Convention

For the last couple months Jason has been growing his beard out for a mustache competition between the youth pastors at youth convention called "Flash the Stache". Yikes. As you can see he was very creative with his entry, and he did quite well... he tied for second place. I wish I had pictures of the other youth pastors. They all got some weird looks walking around town. FUNNY!

Just some pics from everyday life

Rub a dub dub, chunky's in the tub.

Miriam LOVES Taten! No one can entertain her like him.

Wearing Papaw's hat.

We went to the park on the LAST warm day.
Aren't those some cuties!

No, she's not oxygen deprived. Somebody (rhymes with "Baddy")
gave her some blue popsicle. I guess we're not too worried
about artificial coloring and high fructose corn syrup. Hahaha.

This is her intense concentration face.

I already got my two front teeth,
all I want for Christmas is a spoon!

We spent a day making giant cookies. Fun stuff!

Yes, we're all still alive.

To all the grammas and grampas, we hope you'll accept our deepest apologies. We know it's been way too long since we've updated the blog. This summer has just been crazy busy, and the last 6 weeks were the cherry on the sundae. Well a lot has happened in our lives. Miriam is now sitting up on her own. She's loved having a tiny bit more independence. She now has two teeth. She drinks from a sippy cup all by herself. She started giving real kisses, she'll grab your face and pull it in as hard as she can an give you a big open-mouth kiss. It's so sweet. She also started playing peek-a-boo by herself. She'll hold the burp rag over her face (or just over her mouth, or one eye) then pull it down really fast and give a huge smile.
We just got back from an 11 day trip to Nebraska for two weddings, one was my (Mandy's) little sister's wedding... Jenny. I'll post some pictures from that soon. We had a pretty good trip, but we got sick while we were there. I am one of five siblings, and we all live in five different states, so we very rarely get to all be together at the same time. So this trip was wonderful in that respect because I got to visit with siblings I hadn't seen in years! It was great! I'll post pics.
Well, that's all for now. We're all healthy, happy, and looking forward to a slower life! We love you! See ya!

Yes, we're all still alive.

No need for a bottle, mom... I'm big.

Chilling out with daddy, looking at the fish.

Rolling around on the floor with mommy.

She rolls off the blankie then cries.

Helping mommy open her birthday presents. She's too slow.

Look how big I am!

Beautiful young lady.
